ELON MALTBIE, ESQRE.

Elon Maltbie (see portrait) was the seventh child of Benjamin (4) and Abigail (Munger) Maltbie.  He was born (probably at Northford, Conn.) March 8, 1783.  When but three years old he removed with his father to Norfolk, Conn.  He married, April 22, 1807, Hannah Osborne of Colebrook, Conn.  She was born June 11, 1786; d. Sept. 10, 1873, aged 87.  (Sep tombstone at Norfolk.)  He died Oct. 18, 1805, aged 83.  The children were:

2. Milo Harrison Maltbie.

3. Laura Ann Maltbie.

4. Jesse Alonzo Maltbie.

5. William Henry Maltbie.

6. Charles Benjamin Maltbie

7. Rhoda Julia Maltbie.

8. Mary Elizabeth Maltbie.
